XEOMIN Injections Before & After

Xeomin

(Results vary by individual patient and  results cannot be guaranteed)

Considering Xeomin ® treatments in Vancouver, BC? If you’d like to quickly and dramatically reduce the appearance of dynamic facial wrinkles such as crow’s feet and smile lines, you might consider this alternative to Botox ® and Dysport ®.

When you squint, frown, smile, or chew, the muscles needed for those actions contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. These lines are known as dynamic lines. As we get older, because skin loses elastically and its internal structures break down, dynamic lines become a more noticeable, permanent feature.  Xeomin quickly turns back the clock, providing long-lasting results.

What is Xeomin ®?

Xeomin is a neuromodulator (similar to Botox ® and Dysport ®) that is used to treat and prevent the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. It is an injectable botulinum toxin type A serum, a purified protein derived from bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Xeomin is used to reduce muscle contractions that result in dynamic wrinkles and lines.

Benefits of Xeomin®

Xeomin contains no additives – just botulinum toxin type A. This purity may reduce instances of allergic reactions and the development of resistance to Xeomin treatments, which occasionally occurs with other neuromodulators.

Xeomin treatments are also:

  • Fast and relatively painless
  • Non-surgical
  • Safe and effective
  • Lasts 4-6 months on average
  • No downtime
  • An alternative to Botox and Dysport for patients who have developed resistance to those treatments

What happens during the treatment?

Usually, before a Xeomin treatment, photos will taken which are used to compare with your Xeomin results. A treatment will be designed – taking into account the effects you desire, and the possibilities dictated by the depth and location of wrinkles, lines and folds.

Xeomin treatments are quite comfortable for most patients. Before treatment begins, a numbing cream can be applied upon request and allowed to take effect. In addition to the topical anaesthetic, throughout the treatment, an ice pack may be used to freeze the injection sites immediately prior to each injection.

Treatment time: Approximately 30 min. More extensive Xeomin treatments may require more than one session.

After the treatment

Do not rub the injection sites and avoid lying down for 4 hours after your treatment. Avoid excessive heat and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Recovery time: No downtime. It may take up to 1 week for any minor bruising to disappear.

How many treatments will I need?

The benefits of Xeomin are usually most noticeable after 1 week, and results last from 3-6 months, making it comparable to Botox.
